HELLO EVERYONE!!! Welcome to my blog!
My name is Shania Venika Herman. I’m currently 16 years old. I was born in Bandung and moved to Jakarta when I was 5 years old. I have lived in Indonesia my whole life. This year is my first year here in BSJ. Previously, I was in SPH Kemang Village.
My first few days here were terrifying. Since I was from a small community school, I wasn’t really able to adapt myself to this school. Almost everything about BSJ is really different to my previous school. Because SPH was a small school, I wasn’t really used to walking from one side of the school to the other side of the school. The first couple of days, I was always late to classes considering that I have to find the classes. Although I wasn’t able to adjust myself there physically, but academically, I was able to because the last couple of weeks after the IGCSE exams, most of my teachers from my previous school taught us the IB curriculum so that we won’t be that surprised.
As for CAS, I’m really excited for it. I’m currently doing a photography related CAS project called “MONOCHROME”. MONOCHROME is a student-led organisation that aims to raise awareness of the less fortunate through photography and fashion design. Although MONOCHROME is a new project and it might be difficult to start one, but we won’t give up until we finished what we planned.
I’m so excited to see where the next 2 years of IB will take me! 🙂
